In a maze of thoughts I was stuck,
it was uncanny and dark,
my eyesight was blurred by fog.
Worn out by fear I wanted to flee,
for the place seemed stygian to me.
I walked astray feeling hopeless and overwhelmed,
until I reached a dead end.

Then, and only then, I saw light,
piercing through the mist as though it was the sword of a knight;
it was soft, shiny and bright,
it casted a spell and soothed my scared heart.
And so, I seemed to be in peace,
my thoughts were neat and my path was clear.
I could, eventually, breathe a sigh of relief.
